I make myself.

My name is

JoshuaKiwiet-Pantaleoni

I started programming when I was 11 years old, and I have been hooked ever since.

I learned HTML, CSS, and Javascript so I could make websites. Then, I picked up GML by using GameMaker. I took Java and C++ courses in High School. In 2012 I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science Engineering at the University of Michigan.

Since 2008, I've designed, developed, and maintained a full website for the Andrea Crossman Group, a multi-million dollar realty business at waterfront-luxuryhomes.com. I originally developed the search engine for the website using Perl. I later redeveloped the engine, using PHP, in conjunction with a redesign taking advantage of a PHP based Content Management System.

While attending the University of Michigan, I conceived of Perl and Python projects for an introductory Python course as part of the Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program. That work led to a position as an Instructional Assistant in that course.

As part of my coursework at Michigan, I was an integral part of many team projects. These projects included a crowd-sourced trivia quiz in Google App Engine, a simplified C compiler, a Sudoku puzzle alarm clock for Android, an interactive music synthesizer running on a FPGA, and a multiplayer first person shooter PC game.

I spend my free time learning the latest languages, keeping my skills sharp with things like Project Euler, and creating new projects for myself. I am currently learning Ruby on Rails, CoffeeScript, and LESS to redevelop this website and expand my skill base. I am also working on making my first HTML5 game, the demo of which I plan to post on the games page of this website.
